I have to move this month or she has to find a different roommate because of her own financial situation, so this is my lucky chance!! My mom recently was diagnosed with a golf ball-sized tumor on the lining of her brain. She has always been tough, a hard worker, and a loving mother to her 4 children and grandchildren. After my dad passed away 4 years ago, my mom became the sole source of income for the household and only recently was able to afford health insurance due to the affordable care act. She currently works part time, yet will be in recovery for quite some time after the surgery to remove the tumor. She has lost some of her eyesight where the tumor has pressed on the optic nerve and we just want her to be taken care of financially. My sister will be taking care of her around the clock, which will also mean her income will be cut short. We ask that our friends and extended family please pass on the word and donate. Mom is looking good! She is home and recovering. Her immune system is still weak, and she unable to be in public or have visitors who have recently been sick. She is at high risk of pneumonia and seizures if she is exposed to viruses or bacteria. Please continue to share and keep my family in your thoughts. My mom is such a special, central core for us.
